Hello! This is my story.
I have PhD and MA degrees from the University of London (Royal Holloway and Birkbeck Colleges respectively). My first degree was MA French with Latin(Edinburgh) and I also have CELTA from International House, London. I have been teaching and tutoring for almost four decades and particularly enjoy instructing and supporting at individual and small group levels.
Lessons are conducted on zoom and I have a range of resources to suit all levels, particularly GCSE and A Level. Texts are studied in detail to help students retain knowledge and – most importantly -to develop and master analytical skills. In my last full-time teaching post students awarded me the title ‘Best Talent Agent’ – on the grounds that I ‘discover what students can do and make them do it!’
